Now coming to mains, candidates appear for mains after clearing prelims. Here candidate faces 5 sections out of 4 are objective sections and 1 is a subjective section.

2. English Language – 35 questions, 40 marks, 40 minutes
3. Data Analysis  and Interpretation – 35 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes
4. General Economy and Banking Awareness – 40 questions , 40 marks, 35 minutes
5. English Language ( letter writting and eassy) – 2 questions, 25 marks, 30 minutes

Here are some key points about the IBPS PO Prelims exam pattern:

• The IBPS PO prelims exam is based on MCQs and will be conducted in online mode.
• The IBPS PO Prelims exam consists of three sections, which are: English language, numerical ability, and reasoning ability.
• The duration of the examination will be 60 minutes, and there will be a total of 100 questions for 100 marks
• In the IBPS PO Prelims exam, there will be no sectional cut-off; there will only be one overall cut-off.
• There will be 0.25 marks deducted for every question attempted wrongly by a candidate, and each question carries one mark.
• The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi). A paper written in English must be attempted in English.
