Assam Police Constable Exam Pattern
The Assam Police Constable Selection Process will be conducted in five stages,which are:
- Physical Standard Test (PST): This is an elimination round where candidates must meet the minimum height and weight requirements.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who clear the PST will be called for the PET, which tests their physical fitness.
- Written Exam: Candidates who qualify for the PET will appear for a written exam consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions.
- National Cadet Corps (NCC) (optional): Additional marks awarded for valid NCC certificates

Physical Standards Test (PST):
- Purpose: To assess the physical attributes of candidates.
- Marking: No marks were awarded. Qualifying test only.
- Components (Male):
- Height: Minimum 165 cm (unrelaxed)
- Chest expansion: minimum 5 cm
- Eye sight: normal vision in each eye without glasses or contact lenses.
- Components (Female):
- Height: Minimum 150 cm (unrelaxed)

- Eye sight: normal vision in each eye without glasses or contact lenses.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Purpose: To assess the physical fitness and endurance of candidates.
- Marking: 80 marks for male candidates, 60 marks for female candidates.

- 100-meter sprint: 17 seconds (20 marks)
- High jump: Minimum 120 cm (20 marks)
- 800-meter run: 3 minutes, 45 seconds (20 marks)
- Long jump: minimum 365 cm (20 marks)

- 100-meter sprint: 18 seconds (15 marks)
- High jump: Minimum 100 cm (15 marks)
- 800-meter run: 4 minutes, 30 seconds (15 marks)
- Long jump: minimum 300 cm (15 marks)

- Mode of Exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Number of Questions: 100
- Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
