The selection procedure for the Punjab Police SI exams will have three phases.
- Phase 1: Computer Based Test
- Phase 2: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening

Punjab Police SI CBT Question Paper Pattern

- There will be three computer-based multiple-choice question (MCQ) papers in Phase 1, namely Papers I, II, and III, with Paper III serving as a qualifying document.
- Examinations will be conducted in online mode.
- Paper I will consist of 100 questions worth four (04) points each.
- Paper II will consist of 100 questions worth four (04) points each.
- Paper-III will be a Punjabi language qualifying exam that must be taken at the matriculation level. It will have 50 questions, each worth one mark, and 50% of the marks will be needed to pass.
- Negative marking for an incorrect answer in Paper I and in Paper II shall be 25% of the marks assigned to a question, i.e., 1 mark.
- There shall be no negative marking for Paper III, which is the mandatory qualifying paper in Punjabi.
